Questions on registering and using Brat Factor Planner
Questions about Brat Factor PlannerQ: I have computers at home and at work - do I have to buy two copies of Brat Factor Planner?
Q: Does Brat Factor Planner run on Apple Macintosh? A: No. Brat Factor Planner currently runs on Windows computers only. However, for those Mac people who really want Brat Factor Planner, we've received reports that Brat Factor Planner will run on a Mac using iEmulator software, a new low-cost ($24) Windows emulator, available at www.iemulator.com. It requires OS X 10.3.0 or later, and you must provide a copy of Windows. Note: The iEmulator Mac solution is not supported by us. This means if you try iEmulator and have a problem, we can't help you solve it – our elderly iMac can't run iEmulator. We've also heard that iEmulator can be painfully slow on older Macs - YMMV (your mileage may vary). Q: What handheld devices does Brat Factor Planner run on?
Q: Does Brat Factor Planner integrate with Outlook?
Here is how importing/exporting works: When you add or change scheduled tasks in Outlook, you should import the new data into Brat Factor Planner before changing any tasks in Brat Factor Planner, and vice versa. (If you forget, you'll simply have to reenter the changed tasks in the receiving program.) Q: Do you offer training on Brat Factor Planner?
Questions on registering and using Brat Factor PlannerQ: When I put in the Brat Factor Planner CD, Internet Explorer warned me it contained "Active Content (that) can harm your computer or disclose personal information" - eek!
Windows XP shows this scary message to warn that you shouldn't let pages you view over the net run programs on your computer, or send your personal information over the net. We don't gather any personal information from your use of the CD, and the only programs we run are the Brat Factor Planner ones you've selected to install on your system. We suggest that when you receive the message about Active Content, just click "Yes" to run the content for this page. There's no need to change Internet Explorer settings - in fact, you should keep them as they are so that you'll be warned if a page you view over the net tries to run programs on your computer. Q: I can't find my serial number - what do I do?
Q: I clicked OK on the registration page before filling everything out, and now I can't get back to it - am I registered?
Q: I want to make a subtask but the program won't let me - why?
One way to add a due date to a task that's in the Project View and still be able to add tasks under it is to copy-drag the task to the day or time you want: hold down the Ctrl key and the left mouse button while you drag the task. You will end up with the original "generic" (unscheduled) task that you can add tasks under, and a copy that has an assigned date or time. Q: I have a Palm - how do I get Brat Factor Planner to synchronize with it?
Q: I have a Pocket PC - how do I get Brat Factor Planner to synchronize with it?
