Setting up the Palm HotSync conduit
Because Brat Factor Planner is file-based, you need to pick a file for the Palm to use.
To tell the HotSync Manager which file to sync to the Palm, do the following:
- Open the HotSync
Manager's configuration dialog for the Brat Factor Planner conduit, by right-clicking
on the HotSync Manager's icon, and choosing "Custom".

Select your Palm user name in the drop down box - if you are the only Palm user hot-syncing
with this computer, there will be only one name available.
- Select "Brat Factor Planner" and click the "Change" button. The Brat Factor Planner Conduit Configuration dialog
box will appear:
- Select the type of sync operation you want the Brat Factor Planner Conduit to perform:
- Synchronize Files: The conduit will take the newer of the file on the Palm, and the file on the PC, and overwrite the older file with it.
- Desktop Overwrites Handheld: The file on the PC always overwrites the one on the Palm.
- Handheld Overwrites Desktop: The file on the Palm always overwrites the one on the PC.
- Do Nothing: No files are transferred.
- To change the file that will be synchronized with the Palm, click on the "..." button to the right of the file name.
An "Open File" dialog box appears. Select the .bpf file you want to use, and hit OK.
To save your changes, hit OK. To exit Hot Sync Manager configuration, hit Done.
