Brat Factor Planner Help

Welcome to the Brat Factor Planner Help system! This help system will show you how to get the most from your Brat Factor Planner software.

Note: We don't cover how to use the Brat Factor system in this help system - you'll find that information in the audio program "Learn to Know Your Inner Brat", and on the DVD "Getting Your Acts Together" which are available from The Brat Factor website.

Getting Started

Getting Started introduces Brat Factor Planner and explains the basics for getting started. (The link takes you to the top of the Getting Started page.)

Brat-friendly Features describes other features of Brat Factor Planner that help you and your brat get things done (and have fun!)

Setup Stuff shows you how to configure your system to support spoken reminders, set the program colors, and set up Brat Factor Planner on an (optional) Pocket PC or Palm PDA.

Speech Component Setup shows how to select and modify the computer voice to be used for spoken reminders.

Setting Program Colors describes how to customize the basic color scheme of Brat Factor Planner.

Pocket PC Synchronization Set Up explains how to set up Microsoft ActiveSync to synchronize files between Brat Factor Planner on the desktop and Brat Factor Planner on the Pocket PC.

Using Brat Factor Planner

This part of the online help covers the nitty-gritty details of each feature of the Planner software. Some of the material is also covered in animated tutorials, as noted.

How to Use Brat Factor Planner describes how to do basic Brat Factor Planner operations.

Adding or editing a task shows how to create or modify a task. (See the Adding Tasks tutorial.)

Adding or editing a task is done in the Add/Edit Tasks dialog, which has the following tabs:

General tab - name, date, priority, start time, end time

Category/Color tab - colors and category icons

Reminder tab - reminder text, time, linked file, automatic program launch, speak reminder

Notes tab - notes field

Repetition tab - selecting daily, weekly, monthly, yearly repetitions
